CalMutuals JPRIMA

CalMutuals Joint Powers Risk and Insurance Management Authority (JPRIMA) is the nation’s first of its kind pool for mutual water companies and smaller systems. Cal Mutuals was formed EXCLUSIVELY to serve the interests of mutual water companies and smaller systems; Cal Mutuals initiated the California legislation that allowed mutual water companies to join an insurance pool (AB656, Sept 2015). JPRIMA has a separate board of directors comprised of fellow mutual water company representatives.

JPRIMA coverages exceed those offered by alternatives, and our rates are prudently competitive. Another distinction is the inclusion of property & liability and workers’ compensation within JPRIMA. Eligible classes include water, sewer, irrigation and other special service entities. Allied Public Risk has more than 20 years of experience underwriting water-related entities and has adjusted tens of thousands of claims. Staffing includes industry experts, with close affiliations with affinity groups and associations. Product guidance is extended by a water treatment and distribution operator. Each of our products is offered on a fully reinsured basis, and there is no financial risk to our members.
